- Low incoming AC mains voltage, leading to an insufficient DC bus voltage.
- Excessive power regeneration back into a non-regenerative supply, causing the DC bus to collapse (less common for undervoltage, usually overvoltage, but can occur with insufficient braking capacity).
- Sudden heavy load demand causing the DC bus voltage to sag transiently.
- Faulty internal DC bus capacitors or charging circuit.
- High-resistance connections in the main power circuit.
