Overload Protection
Omron · MX2 Series Type V2 Compact Inverter
Hva betyr E05. ?
This fault indicates that the motor is operating under an excessive load, causing the inverter's output current or its electronic thermal protection function to trip. It can also be triggered if the electronic thermal level (b012/b212) is set incorrectly, failing to adequately protect against motor burnout.
Vanlige årsaker
- Continuous mechanical overload on the motor, causing it to draw current above its rated full load amperage (FLA).
- Motor is undersized for the application, consistently operating at or above its thermal limit.
- Motor cooling fan failure or obstructed cooling fins, leading to inadequate heat dissipation.
- Electronic thermal overload relay parameters (e.g., P2-01 Motor rated current, P2-02 Thermal time constant) are incorrectly set.
- Inverter cooling fan failure or clogged heatsink fins, leading to inverter internal overheating and derating.

Klikk på steg for å spore fremgangen.
- 1
Measure the actual motor current on all three phases (U, V, W) with a clamp meter and compare to the motor nameplate FLA and inverter display (d004).
- 2
Verify that the motor's rated current (FLA) is correctly entered into the inverter's electronic thermal overload parameter (P2-01).
- 3
Inspect the driven equipment for excessive friction, binding, or unexpected load increases (e.g., worn bearings, product accumulation).
- 4
Confirm the motor's cooling fan is operating properly and that its cooling fins are free of dust and debris.
- 5
Check the inverter's cooling fan operation and ensure its heatsink is clean and free of obstructions; monitor inverter internal temperature (d006).
