Current Balancing Error
Omron · SXF Inverter
Hva betyr PF Curr Err ?
This fault indicates an imbalance in current, either between different power modules (if parallel units) or between two phases within a single module. This can be caused by motor issues, supply problems, or internal drive component variations. Persistent current imbalance can stress power components, leading to reduced lifespan, overheating, or catastrophic failure of the VSD and motor.
Vanlige årsaker
- Motor winding insulation degradation causing phase current leakage or imbalance.
- Unequal impedances in motor cables due to varying lengths, damage, or poor connections.
- Malfunction in one of the current sensors (CTs or hall-effect sensors) within the drive.
- Faulty power module (e.g., one leg of an IGBT bridge) in multi-module drives.
- Unbalanced load on the motor (e.g., mechanical binding on one side of a large load).
Reparasjonssteg & Sjekkliste
Klikk på steg for å spore fremgangen.
- 1
Measure resistance of motor windings (U-V, V-W, W-U) using a multimeter; readings should be balanced within 5%.
- 2
Measure current in each motor phase (U, V, W) using a clamp-on ammeter during operation and verify balance.
- 3
Inspect all motor cable connections at both the drive and motor ends for tightness and corrosion.
- 4
Verify drive parameters P2-01 (Motor rated current) and P2-03 (Motor no-load current) match motor nameplate data.
- 5
Perform a motor auto-tune (e.g., P3-01 = 1) to recalibrate motor parameters.
