Auto-tuning Fault
Schneider Electric · Altivar Machine ATV320 Variable Speed Drive
Hva betyr tnF ?
An auto-tuning detected fault. This means the drive's automatic motor parameter identification process failed to complete successfully. This can be due to incorrect motor wiring, mechanical issues preventing free rotation, or incompatible motor characteristics. Without successful tuning, optimal motor control is not achieved.
Vanlige årsaker
- Motor not connected or incorrect wiring between drive and motor (e.g., open phase, short circuit).
- Motor is mechanically loaded or jammed during the auto-tuning sequence (must be uncoupled or free-moving).
- Motor parameters (e.g., P0-01 to P0-10) entered incorrectly or do not match the actual motor.
- Drive is undersized for the motor, or the motor is too large for the drive to effectively tune.
Reparasjonssteg & Sjekkliste

- 1
1. Disconnect the motor from any mechanical load before initiating auto-tuning (ensure motor shaft is free to rotate).
- 2
2. Verify that the motor's nameplate data (e.g., voltage, current, frequency, RPM, power) is accurately entered into the drive (P0-01 to P0-10).
- 3
3. Check motor wiring for continuity between phases (U-V, V-W, W-U) and for any phase-to-ground shorts using a multimeter.
- 4
4. Ensure the drive's output current terminals (U, V, W) are securely connected to the motor.
- 5
5. Attempt a static auto-tuning (if available, e.g., P0-15=1) instead of a dynamic one if mechanical uncoupling is difficult.
