• Defective option board itself, failing to initialize or communicate with the drive's main control unit.
• Accumulation of conductive debris (e.g., dust, metal particles) within the expansion slot, causing short circuits.
• ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) damage to the option board or the slot's interface circuitry during handling or installation.

   Power down the drive and firmly reseat the option board in the indicated slot, ensuring it is fully latched.
