An external fault signal was received via MFDI terminal S7, possibly due to a problem with the connected external device, faulty wiring, or a misconfiguration where parameter H1-07 is set for an external fault (range 20 to 2B) but the terminal is not actively utilized. This will cause the drive to trip and stop the motor, potentially disrupting the process.

- External device connected to MFDI terminal S7 (e.g., conveyor jam sensor) is active, signaling a fault condition.
- Faulty connection or wire insulation breakdown between the external device and MFDI terminal S7.
- Parameter H1-07 is configured as an external fault input, conflicting with system design.
- Electrical noise pickup on the long cable run to S7, triggering spurious faults.
- Incorrect wiring polarity of the external device connected to S7.

1. Measure the voltage potential between MFDI terminal S7 and the common terminal (e.g., SN, S+) to determine its state.

2. Verify the status of the external device connected to S7 (e.g., proximity sensor, pressure switch).
