FF56
MOTOR PHASE
ABB · ACS560 Standard Control Program Firmware
What does FF56 mean?
One of the motor phases is lost, caused by a fault in the motor, motor cable, thermal relay (if used), or an internal drive fault. This condition leads to unbalanced motor currents, potentially causing motor overheating, vibration, and damage to the motor or drive.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
Check the motor windings and all motor cable connections for damage, continuity, or loose terminals.
- 2
Inspect the thermal relay (if used) for proper function, correct setting, and ensure it is not tripped.
- 3
Review and adjust Fault Function parameter 30.16 (Motor Phase Loss protection) if necessary.
- 4
Consider disabling this protection temporarily for diagnostic purposes only, but be aware of potential motor damage.
