7082
Ext I/O comm loss
ABB · ACS880 Primary Firmware
What does 7082 mean?
The drive trips on this fault when communication to an I/O extension module fails. This is a critical communication failure that will halt drive operation, preventing proper control, command execution, and potentially causing significant process downtime.
Additional Steps
Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.
- 3
Confirm that communication parameters, such as baud rate and addressing, are correctly configured in both the drive and the I/O module.
- 4
Inspect the I/O module for diagnostic LEDs indicating status or errors. If internal fault is suspected, consider replacing the module.
