Over Temperature Fault

Allen-Bradley · 160 AC Drive

What does 08 mean?

This fault indicates that the controller's internal temperature, typically measured at the heatsink, has exceeded its safe operating limit. This is often caused by insufficient cooling. Prolonged operation at high temperatures can severely degrade the lifespan of the controller's electronic components.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Inspect and clear any blocked or dirty heatsink fins to improve airflow.

  2. 2

Verify the ambient temperature around the controller is within the specified operating range.

  3. 3

Check if the cooling fan is blocked, dirty, or non-operating and replace if necessary.
