Cold Junction Data Uncertain (5069-IY4, 5069-IY4K)
Allen-Bradley · Compact 5000 I/O Analog Modules
What does CJChxx.Uncertain mean?
This boolean tag indicates that the cold junction data for a specific channel (xx) can be inaccurate, though the exact degree of inaccuracy is not known. A value of 1 means the data is uncertain. The tag automatically resets to 0 once the underlying condition is resolved.
Common Causes
- Cold junction data signal slightly outside the channel operating range
- Cold junction channel (CJChxx) is slightly over temperature
- Invalid sensor offset value configured for the cold junction channel
- Calibration fault on the cold junction channel
- Calibration is currently in process on the cold junction channel
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify the cold junction data signal is within the specified channel operating range.
- 2
Check the module's operating environment temperature and the cold junction temperature for any slight over-temperature conditions.
- 3
Review the sensor offset value configured for the cold junction channel (CJChxx) in the module configuration.
- 4
Check the calibration status of the cold junction channel (CJChxx) in the Logix Designer application.
- 5
Wait for any ongoing calibration process on the cold junction channel (CJChxx) to complete.
