5
Jog Error
Allen-Bradley · MicroLogix 1400 Programmable Controllers
What does 5 mean?
The PTOX is in the idle state, and two or more of the following bits are simultaneously set: Enable (EN) bit, Jog Pulse (JP) bit, and Jog Continuous (JC) bit. This indicates conflicting jog commands. This error does not fault the controller and automatically clears when the error condition is removed.
Common Causes
- Simultaneous activation of multiple jog-related control bits (EN, JP, JC) while the PTOX is idle.
- Incorrect control logic causing conflicting jog commands to be active at the same time.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Review the program logic to ensure that only one jog command (Jog Pulse or Jog Continuous) is active at a time.
- 2
Verify that the Enable (EN), Jog Pulse (JP), and Jog Continuous (JC) bits are not unintentionally set together while the PTOX is in an idle state.
- 3
Clear the conflicting bits in the control logic to resolve the error condition.
