Power Loss
Allen-Bradley · PowerFlex 520-series Adjustable Frequency AC Drive
What does F003 mean?
Single-phase operation has been detected, combined with an excessive load on the motor. This condition typically arises from a lost phase on the incoming AC line or a severe voltage sag, causing the drive to struggle under load. It can lead to motor and drive overheating if unresolved.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
Monitor the incoming AC line voltage and current for all phases to identify low voltage, power interruptions, or a missing phase.
- 2
Check all input fuses for continuity and proper rating, replacing any blown fuses immediately.
- 3
Reduce the mechanical load on the motor to ease the strain on the drive, especially during suspected single-phase operation.
- 4
Inspect power wiring connections from the main supply to the drive for looseness or damage.
