I/O Board Fail
Allen-Bradley · PowerFlex 520-series Adjustable Frequency AC Drive
What does F122 mean?
A failure has been detected within the drive's control and I/O (Input/Output) section. This indicates a problem with the circuitry responsible for processing digital and analog inputs/outputs, and internal communication, which affects the drive's ability to interact with external devices and potentially its core control.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
Cycle power to the drive to attempt a reset of the I/O board and associated systems.
- 2
Check all external wiring connected to the drive's I/O terminals for any short circuits or improper connections that could stress the I/O board.
- 3
If the fault cannot be cleared after cycling power and checking external wiring, replace the drive or the control module, as the I/O board is an integral component within these assemblies.
