SoE Communication Parameter Error
Beckhoff · AX5000 Servo Drive
What does F4A5 mean?
This error indicates a problem with the Service over EtherCAT (SoE) communication parameters configured for the drive. The specific parameter causing the fault is identified in S-0-0021, which can be viewed in the TCDriveManager Diagnostics window. A common root cause is an incorrect setting in parameter P-0-0150, particularly an improper value for "Signal periods per rotation." This error often triggers other consequential errors like F152 and FA01, preventing the drive from operating correctly.
Additional Steps
Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.

During drive configuration, ensure that the motor is selected first, followed by the feedback system; this sequence often automatically sets "Signal periods per rotation" correctly based on motor and feedback properties, preventing manual entry errors.
