GROUP Value 2

Communication Error (Group)

Beckhoff · TwinSAFE Logic FB

What does GROUP Value 2 mean?

At least one TwinSAFE connection within the EL/EJ69x0 group is faulty. This implies a disruption or loss of communication between safety devices or across the EtherCAT network for safety-relevant data. This will prevent safe operation and necessitate immediate investigation of network integrity, as safety communication is compromised.

Additional Steps

Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.

  1. 3

Inspect the status LEDs on the EL/EJ69x0 group module and all associated EtherCAT slaves for communication error indicators.

  2. 4

Ensure all safety devices involved in the connection are powered on, functional, and correctly addressed on the network.

  3. 5

Restart the EtherCAT master and relevant slave devices if necessary, after confirming no underlying physical issues exist.
