Overcurrent

Danfoss · VLT AutomationDrive FC 301/302

What does 13 mean?

The inverter peak current limit, approximately 200% of the rated current, has been exceeded. This warning typically lasts about 1.5 seconds before the frequency converter trips and issues an alarm. Common causes include shock loading, rapid acceleration with high-inertia loads, or issues during kinetic back-up.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Remove power to the frequency converter and manually check if the motor shaft can be turned freely, indicating no mechanical seizure.

  2. 2

Verify that the motor size and rating are appropriately matched to the frequency converter's capabilities.

  3. 3

Check that all motor data parameters (1-20 to 1-25) are correctly entered and configured in the drive.
