Motor thermistor over temp

Danfoss · VLT HVAC-FC 102 Frequency Converter

What does 11 mean?

The motor thermistor indicates an over-temperature condition, or the thermistor itself may be disconnected or improperly wired. This suggests the motor is overheating, which can lead to severe damage if left unaddressed. Select whether the frequency converter issues a warning or an alarm in 1-90 Motor Thermal Protection.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Check the motor for signs of overheating or excessive mechanical load on the driven equipment.

  2. 2

Verify the thermistor connection: for analog inputs (53/54), ensure it's connected between 53 or 54 and 50 (+10V supply), and the terminal switch is set for voltage.

  3. 3

For digital inputs (18/19), check the thermistor connection between 18 or 19 (PNP only) and terminal 50, and confirm parameter 1-93 Thermistor Source is correctly configured.
