Over Current
Danfoss · VLT Micro Drive FC 51
What does 13 mean?
The inverter's peak current limit has been exceeded, indicating a sudden and excessive surge in current. This is a critical fault often caused by a short circuit in the motor or its cabling, or an extremely sudden and heavy load application, which can damage the drive's output stage.
Additional Steps
Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.
- 3
Inspect the motor for any mechanical issues (e.g., seized bearings) that could lead to sudden high current draw.
- 4
Ensure the drive is properly sized for the motor and application, especially considering starting torque and transient loads.
