Over-current (Other Conditions)
Omron · MX2 Inverter
Was bedeutet E04 ?
This fault indicates an overcurrent condition that occurred under operating circumstances other than constant speed, acceleration, or deceleration. This general overcurrent trip mechanism acts as a catch-all for various abnormal current events, protecting the inverter from sustained high current levels.
Häufige Ursachen
- Instantaneous transient overcurrent due to sudden load changes or unexpected mechanical shock not related to accel/decel.
- Poor grounding or shielding of motor cables, leading to induced currents or noise affecting current sensors.
- Malfunction of the inverter's output power module (IGBTs) causing a momentary short circuit.
- Fluctuations in input power supply voltage or frequency causing unstable DC bus voltage and subsequent current spikes.
- Incorrect Parameter P1-02 (Motor type) or P1-03 (Motor rated current) setting, leading to an inaccurate internal motor model.
Reparaturschritte & Checkliste
Klicken Sie auf Schritte, um Ihren Fortschritt zu verfolgen.
- 1
Inspect the driven machine for sudden load impacts or mechanical events that could cause instantaneous current surges.
- 2
Verify proper shielding and grounding of motor cables to the inverter and motor frames according to manufacturer specifications.
- 3
Check for loose connections at inverter output terminals U, V, W and motor terminals.
- 4
Monitor input AC voltage at inverter terminals L1, L2, L3 using a multimeter for stability and correct phase sequence.
- 5
Perform a no-load run test with the motor decoupled to isolate the inverter/motor from mechanical load issues, monitoring current (d0-03).
