ABB · ACS560 Standard Control Program Firmware
The drive is limiting motor torque based on calculated motor pull-out torque and the minimum/maximum torque limits defined by parameters 20.13 and 20.14. This informative alarm indicates the drive is operating at its torque limits, potentially due to high load, incorrect motor parameters, or insufficient motor identification. Sustained operation at torque limits can hinder performance and prevent achieving desired output.
Click steps to track your progress.
Review drive parameters P20-13 (Maximum Torque Limit) and P20-14 (Minimum Torque Limit) to understand the set limits.
Monitor the actual motor torque (e.g., r0029) during operation to confirm it is reaching or exceeding the configured limits.
Verify all motor nameplate parameters (P03-01 to P03-08) are accurately entered into the drive to ensure correct torque calculation.
Assess the mechanical load on the motor; determine if the application demands higher torque than the motor/drive system is rated for.
Consider increasing the value of P20-13 if the motor and mechanical system can safely handle higher torque output, or increase acceleration time P11-00.
