What does FFD0 mean?

A source selection (pointer) parameter has been configured to point to a non-existent parameter index. This indicates a configuration error in the drive's settings, which can lead to incorrect parameter referencing and potentially erratic or undefined drive behavior.

Common Causes

  • An output reference parameter (e.g., P5-01, P6-02) is configured to point to a non-existent parameter index (e.g., P30-99) within the drive's firmware.
  • Manual entry error during parameter configuration, where an invalid numeric parameter index was entered into a pointer-type parameter.
  • Loading an old parameter set (backup) from a different drive model or firmware version that has distinct parameter mapping, leading to invalid pointers.
  • Corruption of the drive's internal parameter memory, resulting in an invalid or out-of-range pointer address being stored.
  • Specific feature or parameter associated with the pointer was removed or re-indexed in a firmware update, rendering existing pointers invalid.
