4067

Motor rated current undefined

ABB · ACS850 Standard Program Firmware

What does 4067 mean?

The motor's rated current is configured to be less than 0.2A, which is too small for the drive to effectively control. This indicates incorrect motor data entry or an incompatibility between the connected motor and the drive's operating range, preventing proper motor control.

Common Causes

  • Motor rated current parameter (e.g., P2-01) is incorrectly entered as zero or a value below the minimum threshold of 0.2A.
  • Incorrect motor type selected in drive configuration (e.g., P1-01), leading to an default rated current that is too low.
  • The drive hardware is significantly oversized for the connected motor, making its rated current appear negligible for the drive's control range.
  • Motor nameplate data was misread, leading to an incorrect or fractional current value being entered.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Locate the motor nameplate and identify the specified rated current (e.g., Inom).

  2. 2

Enter the correct motor rated current value into parameter P2-01 (Motor Rated Current). Ensure the value is greater than or equal to 0.2A.

  3. 3

Verify the motor type selection in parameter P1-01 (Motor Type) matches the physical motor connected.

  4. 4

Confirm the drive's current sensing capability can accurately measure currents in the operational range of the connected motor.

  5. 5

If using an external current transformer (CT), verify its ratio and calibration parameters (e.g., P8-10, P8-11).
