An error in temperature measurement from a KTY or PTC sensor connected to encoder interface FEN-xx has occurred. This could be due to incorrect parameter settings or using an unsupported sensor type (e.g., KTY on FEN-01). Inaccurate temperature feedback risks motor overheating or improper thermal protection.
Click steps to track your progress.
Power down the drive. Disconnect the temperature sensor leads from the FEN-xx interface terminals and measure the sensor's resistance directly (e.g., a `KTY84-130` should be around `1000 Ohms` at `25°C`).
Inspect the sensor cable for physical damage, proper shielding (if applicable), and secure connection to the FEN-xx module terminals.
Verify the drive parameter `P30.07` (Motor thermistor type) is correctly set to match the connected KTY or PTC sensor type.
If the sensor is located in the motor winding, test for continuity between the sensor leads and the motor frame, ensuring isolation (should be open circuit).
Temporarily connect a known-good resistance value (e.g., `1k Ohm` resistor for KTY84) across the FEN-xx temperature input terminals to simulate a valid sensor reading and observe if the fault clears.
