This fault occurs specifically when the program keypad module is physically removed from the controller while the controller is still powered on. It is a protective measure to prevent unintended parameter changes or operational interruptions.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Power off the controller by opening the main disconnect. Wait for the DC bus discharge indicator to extinguish (e.g., LED or display '0V').
2. Carefully reinsert the program keypad module into its designated slot on the controller's front panel, ensuring it is fully seated and clicked into place.
3. Inspect the keypad module's connector pins and the controller's mating port for damage, bent pins, or foreign debris. Clean contacts with electrical contact cleaner if necessary.
4. Secure the keypad module using any locking clips or screws provided, ensuring a firm mechanical connection.
5. Power on the controller and confirm the fault is cleared and the keypad display is active.
