Max Retries Fault

What does 33 mean?

This fault occurs when the controller has failed to successfully reset a previous fault condition within the maximum number of attempts defined by parameter P50 – [Restart Tries]. This indicates an underlying persistent issue that cannot be automatically cleared.

Common Causes

  • The underlying fault condition (e.g., overcurrent, undervoltage) is persistent and not being resolved by the controller's auto-restart attempts.
  • Parameter P50 (Restart Tries) is set too low for an intermittent fault, leading to a lockout after too few attempts.
  • Incorrect configuration of auto-restart delay (e.g., P51) causing subsequent restart attempts to fail.
  • A transient fault condition that recurs immediately upon restart, preventing successful operation.
  • Severe mechanical issue or power supply instability that consistently triggers a fault.
