Allen-Bradley · Compact 5000 Digital I/O Modules
This fault indicates that reported channel or counter data is inaccurate and cannot be trusted for use in the application. When the tag is set to 1, the data should not be used for control. The fault tag automatically resets to 0 once the underlying condition is removed.

Troubleshoot the module by first addressing potential field power loss, no load, or short circuit conditions.
Monitor the specific fault tags in the Studio 5000 Logix Designer application to ensure the application is operating with accurate channel input data.
For safety output faults, command the safety output(s) into the safe state by setting the Ptxx.Data tag to 0, resetting the module, or cycling power to the module.
If a safety output fault persists, ensure the controller is not in Program mode, no controller or Safety task faults are active, and the connection to the module is not inhibited.
After addressing the cause, allow the Output Error Latch Time to elapse for recovery, potentially up to an additional 1 second.
