Allen-Bradley · PowerFlex 520-series Adjustable Frequency
The non-volatile memory storing the drive's parameters has detected a checksum error, indicating data corruption. This means the drive's saved configuration settings are invalid or unreadable, potentially preventing proper startup or operation. A factory reset is typically required to restore integrity.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Perform a complete drive parameter reset to factory defaults (e.g., P0-02 = 2) and then manually re-enter all critical parameters.
2. If a backup copy of parameters exists (e.g., on a HIM, or uploaded to software), download the parameters to the drive.
3. Power cycle the drive completely (disconnecting mains power for at least 60 seconds) and then attempt to write a single parameter change.
4. Monitor the input power quality to the drive during parameter saving operations using a power analyzer to detect voltage sags or spikes.
5. Record the drive's firmware version and search manufacturer's knowledge base for known checksum issues or firmware updates.
