What does F126 mean?

A non-recoverable firmware or hardware error has been detected, causing the drive to automatically stop and reset. This is a severe internal issue that the drive cannot self-correct, indicating persistent damage to the hardware or a critical, unrecoverable software fault.

Common Causes

  • Internal processor watchdog timer expiry caused by a critical firmware loop or stack overflow condition.
  • Detection of an uncorrectable memory error (RAM or ROM) during drive operation or system boot-up sequence.
  • Core ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) or FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) malfunction due to thermal stress or component degradation.
  • Critical internal power supply instability (e.g., 3.3V or 5V rail) detected by the drive's supervisory circuitry.
  • Damage to a critical internal communication bus (e.g., SPI or I2C bus) preventing essential component interaction.

    Disconnect all input power (L1, L2, L3) and 24VDC control power from the drive for a minimum of 5 minutes to ensure complete internal capacitor discharge.

    Perform a visual inspection of the drive's internal control board for signs of damage, such as burnt components, bulging capacitors, or loose connections.

  3. 3

    Verify the stability and voltage level of the external 24VDC control power supply using a multimeter (e.g., measure voltage at terminals TB1, TB2) under operational load.

    Temporarily disconnect all external I/O wiring, network cables, and motor feedback devices (e.g., encoder, thermistor input at terminal TB3) to eliminate external interference.
