Beckhoff · AX5000 Servo Drive
This error indicates that the feedback system is not receiving the expected supply voltage, which is critical for accurate position sensing and motor control. This issue can stem from incorrect power supply wiring to the feedback system, a faulty or disconnected sense line, or the absence of a required sense connection for the specific encoder in use. The drive will be unable to operate without proper feedback voltage, leading to a standstill or uncontrolled behavior.
Click steps to track your progress.
Measure the feedback supply voltage directly at the drive's feedback connector (e.g., X10) between the VCC and GND pins (e.g., expecting 5VDC or 24VDC).
Inspect the feedback cable for cuts, crimps, or loose connections. Perform a continuity test on all conductors of the feedback cable.
Disconnect the feedback device (e.g., motor encoder) and re-measure the supply voltage at the drive's connector to rule out a short circuit in the device itself.
Check the drive's internal diagnostic LEDs or status registers (e.g., S-0-0100 for feedback status) for more specific information.
Replace the feedback cable with a known good one to eliminate cabling as a cause. If the fault persists, consider replacing the feedback device.
