Bosch Rexroth · IndraDrive MPx02
This fatal error indicates an overcurrent condition detected in the external braking resistor circuit connected to the IndraDrive MPx02. This means excessive current is flowing through the braking resistor, potentially leading to overheating, damage to the resistor, or damage to the drive's braking chopper circuit.
Click steps to track your progress.
Power off the IndraDrive MPx02 and measure the resistance of the external braking resistor. Compare it to the specified value in the drive's manual (e.g., between 10-100 Ω for typical applications).
Inspect the braking resistor for any signs of damage, such as burnt areas or short-circuited turns.
Verify the wiring connecting the braking resistor to the IndraDrive MPx02's braking chopper terminals for shorts or incorrect connections.
Reduce the deceleration rates or modify the application's duty cycle to decrease the amount of regenerative energy, if possible.
If the resistor and wiring are confirmed good, an internal fault with the IndraDrive MPx02's braking chopper circuit may be present, requiring drive service.
