• Internal hardware malfunction of the serial communication integrated circuit (e.g., UART) on the control board.
• Corrupted firmware module responsible for serial port initialization during the drive's power-up sequence.
• Memory allocation error or resource conflict within the drive's operating system preventing serial port access.
• Damage to internal trace lines connecting the serial port hardware to the main processor.
• External electrical noise or ground loop affecting the internal serial communication bus.
