3072–5122

Parameter value is outside its limits (Specific range)

Danfoss · VLT AutomationDrive FC 301/302

What does 3072–5122 mean?

A parameter has been configured with a value that falls outside its acceptable minimum or maximum range within a specific internal code range. This prevents the drive from operating correctly and can lead to unexpected behavior.

Common Causes

  • Manual entry of a parameter value (e.g., P1-54 Motor rated current) exceeding the drive's maximum allowable limit.
  • Loading an incorrect parameter set from a different drive model or power rating.
  • Autotune or motor identification process attempting to set a physically impossible value for the connected motor.
  • Corruption of the parameter value in non-volatile memory (EEPROM or Flash).
  • Software calculation error internally generating an out-of-range value that violates defined limits.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Identify the specific parameter code displayed on the LCP associated with this fault.

  2. 2

Refer to the drive's operating manual to find the valid range (minimum/maximum) for the identified parameter.

  3. 3

Adjust the parameter value (e.g., P1-54 Motor rated current) to be within its acceptable limits.

  4. 4

If parameters were loaded from a file, verify the file matches the exact drive model and power rating.

  5. 5

Perform a factory reset via Parameter P14-22 (Reset options) set to 2 (Load LCP defaults) and re-enter critical parameters.
