Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive FC 102
According to the electronic thermal protection (ETR), the motor is too hot. This fault occurs when the motor runs with more than 100% overload for an extended period. Unresolved motor overheating risks severe motor damage or premature failure.
Click steps to track your progress.
Measure the motor winding temperature directly using an infrared thermometer or an embedded RTD/thermistor if available.
Verify motor nameplate data (Voltage, Current, Frequency, RPM, Power Factor) is accurately entered into parameters P1-20 through P1-25.
Clear any obstructions from the motor's cooling fan and ventilation fins, and ensure adequate airflow in the motor's operating environment.
Measure the output current to the motor with a clamp meter during operation and compare it to the motor's rated current (P1-02).
