Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive FC 102
The motor torque has exceeded the programmed limits in parameter 4-16 (Motor Mode) or 4-17 (Generator Mode). This can be caused by excessive load, rapid acceleration/deceleration, or incorrect limit settings. Persistent torque limiting can hinder application performance or cause unexpected stops.
Click steps to track your progress.
Monitor the drive's actual torque output (e.g., using LCP display 16-10) and compare it to the limits set in P4-16 and P4-17.
Increase the maximum torque limit in parameter P4-16 (Torque Limit Motor Mode) or P4-17 (Torque Limit Generator Mode) to accommodate peak loads if mechanically acceptable.
Increase acceleration ramp time P3-41 (Ramp Up Time 1) and/or deceleration ramp time P3-42 (Ramp Down Time 1) to reduce peak torque demands.
Mechanically inspect the driven equipment for binding, obstructions, or excessive friction that could cause high torque requirements.
