Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive FC 102
The drive attempted to start the motor but failed to achieve successful operation. This could be due to mechanical issues, incorrect motor parameters, insufficient power, or an inability to overcome the initial load.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Disconnect the motor from its mechanical load and attempt to start the motor unloaded to determine if the fault is mechanical or electrical.
2. Verify that all motor nameplate data (e.g., P7-01, Motor Rated Current; P7-02, Motor Rated Speed; P7-03, Motor Rated Voltage) is accurately programmed into the drive.
3. Monitor the drive's output current (P0-01, Motor Current) during a start attempt and compare it to the drive's overcurrent trip limit.
4. Increase the acceleration ramp time (P3-02, Ramp 1 Accel Time) to reduce the current demand during startup for applications with high inertia.
5. Manually rotate the motor shaft and driven equipment to check for mechanical binding, seized bearings, or other obstructions.
