Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive FC 102
The Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA) calibration process has failed. This means the drive could not successfully characterize the connected motor, which is critical for optimal performance and protection. Without successful AMA, motor control may be suboptimal or protection features less effective, impacting efficiency.

Ensure all mechanical loads are disconnected from the motor shaft before initiating the AMA process (P1-29 Motor Adaptation).
Verify all motor nameplate data (P1-20, P1-21, P1-22, P1-23, P1-24) is accurately entered into the drive parameters.
Confirm that motor cables (U, V, W) are securely connected to the drive's output terminals and the motor terminal box.
Measure the resistance between motor phases (U-V, V-W, W-U) at the drive's output terminals to check for open circuits or significant imbalances.
Re-attempt the AMA process (P1-29) after confirming all motor data and connections, ensuring the motor is stationary.
