Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive FC 102
During the Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA) process, one or more motor parameter values were found to be outside the acceptable range for the frequency converter. This prevents AMA from completing and can result from incorrect motor data entry or unusual motor characteristics. The drive cannot perform optimal motor control without successful AMA.
Click steps to track your progress.
Double-check all motor nameplate data (P1-20 Motor Power, P1-21 Motor Voltage, P1-22 Motor Current, P1-23 Motor Freq, P1-24 Motor Speed) for accuracy.
Verify that the motor type (e.g., standard induction motor) is compatible with the drive's AMA function.
Ensure motor cables are properly terminated, not excessively long, and of adequate gauge to minimize added impedance.
Attempt to perform a static AMA (P1-25 AMA Type) if dynamic AMA fails, as it may be less sensitive to certain conditions.
Perform a factory reset (P14-22 Load Parameters) and re-enter motor parameters manually, then retry AMA.
