Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive FC 102
The control card temperature has reached its cut-out limit of 80 °C, indicating excessive heat within the control section of the frequency converter. This can lead to erratic behavior, reduced lifespan, or permanent damage to the control card if not addressed. Proper cooling is essential for its reliability.
Click steps to track your progress.
Verify the drive's cooling fan (typically visible through vents) is operational, free of obstructions, and not clogged with dust.
Clean any dust or debris from the drive's heatsinks and ventilation openings using compressed air.
Measure the ambient temperature inside the electrical enclosure and ensure it is within the drive's specified operating limits.
Check for proper air circulation inside the enclosure, ensuring intake and exhaust vents are not blocked and enclosure fans are operating.
Reduce the drive's continuous load or output current (if permissible) to decrease overall heat generation.
Inspect the control card for any visible signs of component stress or discoloration that could indicate an internal fault.
