SP0976

No Amplifier Number Set (15i)

Fanuc · AC Spindle Motor Alpha i-Beta i Series Parameters

What does SP0976 mean?

No amplifier number could be set for a serial spindle amplifier for Series 15i. This can happen if the amplifier is not detected or there's a configuration issue preventing its assignment.

Common Causes

  • The system could not assign a unique amplifier number to a serial spindle amplifier.
  • The amplifier is already assigned to another spindle, causing a conflict.
  • The amplifier's address setting is incorrect or unreadable.
  • A hardware failure preventing the system from recognizing the amplifier's identity.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify that parameter P1-05 (Motor Number) is uniquely set for each spindle.

  2. 2

Check the physical DIP switches or rotary dials on the spindle amplifier for its address setting.

  3. 3

Ensure no other device on the system is using the same amplifier number.

  4. 4

Attempt to read the amplifier's configured address directly from its interface.
