ER0~2 LED

Force Sensor Communication Error

Fanuc · R-30iB Mate + Mate Plus Robot

What does ER0~2 LED mean?

The ER0, ER1, or ER2 LEDs illuminate when an error occurs in communication with the force sensor. This indicates a potential issue with the sensor's interface unit or its connection cable.

Common Causes

  • There is a communication failure between the CNC control and the force sensor module or its associated interface.
  • The communication protocol or data exchange between the main controller and the force sensor has been interrupted.
  • The force sensor unit's internal electronics may have failed, preventing it from responding to communication requests.
  • A wiring problem or a faulty communication cable is causing intermittent or complete loss of signal to the force sensor.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Remove the cable connected to the CRS50 connector, turn on the power, and check whether the ER0~2 LEDs change.

  2. 2

If one of the ER0~2 LEDs lights up after re-powering with the cable removed, replace the sensor I/F unit.

  3. 3

If all of the ER0~2 LEDs are turned off after re-powering with the cable removed, check the sensor connection cable connected to CRS50 for any abnormalities.
