SRVO-021

SRDY Signal Off

Fanuc · R-30iB Mate + Mate Plus Robot

What does SRVO-021 mean?

The HRDY signal is ON, but the SRDY signal is OFF, indicating that the servo amplifier magnetic contactor cannot be turned on for an unknown reason. This occurs when the host commands the servo system (HRDY) to turn on the magnetic contactor, but the servo system (SRDY) fails to confirm it, without any other specific servo amplifier alarm being present.

Common Causes

  • The SRDY (Servo Ready) signal is currently OFF when it is expected to be ON.
  • This signal typically indicates that the servo drive is powered up, initialized, and ready to accept commands for a specific axis.
  • A low SRDY signal suggests a problem with the servo drive's internal state, power supply, or communication.
  • The axis cannot be commanded to move until the SRDY signal becomes active.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Ensure emergency stop board connectors CP5A, CRMA92, CRMB22, and 6-Axis servo amplifier CRMA91 are securely attached. For auxiliary axis amplifiers, also ensure CXA2A (6-axis amplifier) or CXA2B (aux. axis amplifier) connectors are securely attached.

  2. 2

Check whether an instantaneous disconnection of the power source occurred.

  3. 3

    Replace the E-stop unit.

  4. 4

    Replace the servo amplifier.
