SRVO-096

LDAL alarm (Track Encoder LED Broken)

Fanuc · R-30iB Mate + Mate Plus Robot

What does SRVO-096 mean?

This alarm (Track enc:i) indicates that the LED in the Pulsecoder (track encoder) is broken. This prevents the track encoder from generating proper position feedback, leading to loss of position control for the track. The cause and fix are identical to SRVO-074 for robot axes.

Common Causes

  • Broken or malfunctioning LED within the track encoder.
  • Optical path obstruction or dirt on the encoder disc.
  • Encoder output signal outside expected range (e.g., P4-32).
  • Damage to the encoder housing or internal components.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Replace the Pulsecoder for the affected track encoder.

  2. 2

Remaster the robot after Pulsecoder replacement to re-establish absolute position.
