SRVO-097

Pulse Not Established (Track Encoder)

Fanuc · R-30iB Mate + Mate Plus Robot

What does SRVO-097 mean?

This alarm (Enc:i) indicates that the absolute position of the Pulsecoder (track encoder) cannot be established. This typically occurs during startup or after a power cycle if the encoder's absolute position data is lost, preventing accurate track positioning. The cause and fix are identical to SRVO-075 for robot axes.

Common Causes

  • Failure of the track encoder to establish initial pulse count.
  • Encoder not receiving power or ground connection.
  • Mechanical misalignment preventing encoder initialization.
  • Parameter configuration error for encoder setup (e.g., P4-33).

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    Reset the alarm condition.

  2. 2

Jog the affected axis (one motor revolution) until the alarm no longer occurs to re-establish the Pulsecoder's absolute position.
