SVEMG

Emergency Stop Signal

Fanuc · R-30iB Mate + Mate Plus Robot

What does SVEMG mean?

The SVEMG (Red) LED indicates that an emergency stop signal is being input to the servo amplifier. This alarm occurs if the LED lights up when the machine is not in an emergency stop state, or if it fails to light when the machine *is* at an emergency stop. This indicates an internal issue with the servo amplifier's E-stop signal processing.

Common Causes

  • External emergency stop button pressed or safety circuit activated.
  • Emergency stop signal received from safety I/O module or safety PLC.
  • Internal fault detected by the servo system that triggers an emergency stop.
  • Safety interlock failure (e.g., door switch not closed).
  • E-stop circuit wiring fault or continuous E-stop signal.
