The signal frequency of the optional encoder (encoder 2) has exceeded the maximum allowed frequency of the encoder interface. If P-0-0185 (Function of encoder 2) is set to 4 (spindle encoder), only the position status of the optional encoder is cleared to 0. Otherwise, F246 is generated, and the position status is cleared to 0.

Check the mechanical speed of the motor or spindle connected to encoder 2. Ensure it does not exceed the maximum operational speed specified for the encoder.
Review the encoder resolution and scaling parameters in the Indramat DIAX04 SSE-03VRS drive controller. Correct any settings that may cause an erroneously high calculated signal frequency.
Examine parameter P-0-0185 (Function of encoder 2). If encoder 2 is used as a spindle encoder, ensure this parameter is set to 4. Adjust the parameter if it's incorrect for the application.
Consider using an encoder with a lower resolution if the mechanical speed cannot be reduced, or if the current encoder's resolution and the drive's interface limits are incompatible.
