De-energize the power supply unit and associated drive system, and ensure proper lockout procedures are followed.
Systematically disconnect external loads or control voltage bus connections to other drive controllers from the power supply unit. Re-energize and check if the fault clears to identify an overloaded circuit.
With control voltage connections removed, use a multimeter to check for short circuits on the +24V, +15V, -15V, and +5V lines. Verify that the load on each supply is within the permissible limits.
Measure the actual output voltages (+24V, +15V, -15V, +5V) from the power supply unit under no-load and then with connected loads, comparing them to nominal values.
If the fault persists after verifying external loads and wiring for shorts, the internal control voltage generation circuitry within the Indramat power supply unit is likely defective. Arrange for replacement of the unit.
