Indramat · IndraDrive MPx02
The IndraDrive MPx02 has detected that the holding brake is unable to generate sufficient torque to hold the load, possibly during a brake test or when monitoring brake engagement. This can indicate a potential safety hazard if the load is not securely held, especially in vertical applications.
Click steps to track your progress.
Inspect the mechanical condition of the motor holding brake for wear, damage, or contamination that might reduce its effectiveness.
Verify the electrical connections and supply voltage/current to the holding brake (if applicable) to ensure it is receiving adequate power for full engagement.
Perform a brake test (e.g., via P-0-0541, C2100 Brake check command) and monitor the actual brake torque achieved, comparing it to the specified holding torque.
Review and verify brake-related parameters in the IndraDrive MPx02, such as P-0-0542 (Brake torque value), to ensure they are correctly configured for the installed brake.
If the brake is worn or damaged and does not meet specifications, it may require replacement.
