What does F401 mean?
The master sync telegram (MST) was not received by the Indramat DIAX04 SSE-03VRS drive controller in two successive SERCOS cycles, indicating a communication breakdown in the SERCOS fiber optic ring.
Common Causes
- Disruption in the Fiber Optic transmission line.
- Too much attenuation of the light signal in the Fiber Optic cable.
- Malfunction in the SERCOS interface module of the drive controller (general).

Visually inspect all Fiber Optic connections and cables in the SERCOS ring for physical damage, kinks, or improperly seated connectors. Ensure all connectors are clean.

Measure the optical power attenuation across each segment of the Fiber Optic cable using an appropriate optical power meter. Verify that the attenuation between TX and RX for any connection does not exceed 12.5 dB.

Check the status indicators (LEDs) on the SERCOS interface modules of all devices in the ring for any indications of link loss or communication errors.
