Connection error mains choke
Indramat · Indradrive
What does F8813 mean?
The IndraDrive detected an issue with the connection or functionality of the external mains choke. The mains choke is used for suppressing harmonics and limiting inrush current, and a connection error can lead to power quality issues or prevent safe operation.
Common Causes
- Loose or incorrect wiring of the mains choke.
- Damaged or faulty mains choke unit.
- Open circuit in one or more phases of the choke connection.
- Incorrectly sized or incompatible mains choke.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Disconnect input power and visually inspect the wiring connections between the mains supply, the mains choke, and the IndraDrive input terminals for tightness and correct phasing.
- 2
Perform continuity tests on the mains choke windings to check for open circuits or damage.
- 3
Verify that the mains choke is correctly sized and specified for the IndraDrive and supply voltage.
- 4
Ensure proper grounding of the mains choke and associated cabling.
- 5
If the choke itself is suspected to be faulty after inspection, consider replacing it.
