Emergency Stop

Indramat · ServoDyn D Servo Drive

What does 03 mean?

This error signifies that the Emergency Stop circuit has been activated, interrupting the +24 Vdc signal to the CLM01.3-M's Emergency Stop input (connector X3, pin 3). This immediately halts machine operation to ensure safety.

Common Causes

  • An Emergency Stop pushbutton has been pressed on the machine.
  • Break or fault in the wiring of the machine's Emergency Stop circuit.
  • Loss of +24 Vdc supply to the Emergency Stop input (connector X3, pin 3).
  • Malfunctioning Emergency Stop switch or associated relay contacts.
  • Incorrect wiring of the Immediate Stop input, causing a false trigger.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify that no Emergency Stop pushbuttons are pressed or latched in the 'active' position.

  2. 2

Check the machine builder's wiring diagrams for the Emergency Stop circuit to locate the fault source.

  3. 3

Measure for +24 Vdc at CLM01.3-M connector X3, pin 3 to confirm the input signal status.

  4. 4

Inspect the Emergency Stop wiring from the pushbutton to the CLM01.3-M for continuity, shorts, or loose connections, especially at connector X3.

  5. 5

Ensure the +24 Vdc supply to the Emergency Stop input (X3, pin 3) is stable and within voltage tolerance, also check +24VDC at CLM01.3-M connector X5, pins 1 and 2 and X3, pins 36 and 37.
